S1 Ep5 : Thursday Talkies : Schools Ep1- How I think studying in school is equivalent to working in a cubicle
School might be something we will miss once we leave it. I am still attending the school, but I haven't had as much fun as I had in my offline schools. Hi, this the little things in life and from today every Thursday we will launching a new episode from the school days, and this Season 1.
SchoolsEpisode 1 : How I think studying in school is equivalent to working in a cubicle
For starters, I know that most viewers be like " Hey, you never knew what's it like working in a cubicle, what do you know about it, huh?" I know that I haven't worked in a cubicle or a office but I know my father, and I read the definition of the word "CUBICLE", because wherever you go, there is stress at some level. Going through the school I have seen many rooms and since I didn't know that COVID would happen once I get to sixth grade, I thought I might go into one them. Since I have been studying in a private school there were a LOT of cool rooms such as the School Newspaper Publishing room, The Smart Lab, The vacant club rooms and etc. There is also one big room down at our basement where we had the sixth grade and above Tinkering Lab. It was a lab made by the Indian CBSE for almost all private schools for 6th and above so that children can "Be Creative, Be Tinkerer". The basement room had always been my curiosity since they put it there and supposedly I also thought how cool it would be in it since it looked one of these Star Trek decorations and also because it was in a basement which we never knew of. I always tried asking from 7th grade students who came from the extra time they hold sixth graders and above in school for leave, and they told it was not as cool and if your science whiz then only you'd be interested in it. But you know what, I was still damn curious! But now I did an application for entering in that club in 6th grade and you know what.... that boy was right. It was the MOST boring thing I ever applied for, more than reading a history chapter, that's how boring it is. So a year later I closed myself out from that lab club and tried for various other competitions (where I gave some thought on giving opportunities for starting doing writing, I'll talk about it some other time...). Well anyway back to the topic, so I thought every single time as if the rooms are various different office headquarters as one teacher was put up for each room and they can be in control of it anytime they wanted. At the time I reached to the class, looking at it felt as we were working in a cubicle. Each locker would have had their name tags, paper results they never told their parents our nice, small statue or sticker. Going at the table made me feel, different. At breaks we would keep up with next classes leftover homework and take laugh and talk. We would have a hectic tension on saying anything in front of our teachers and we were in as much as stress as a office man, they would have a salary cut and resignation letter writing, where we would have a grade cut and parent remark, and that was hectic. But even after all this, I think we kept each other motivated and we were happy like some family, and I guess that's what school might be about...
