A SAD DAY 😔 FOR ALL OF US TO REMEMBER.
In 1600, Queen Elizabeth had given a grant to a British trading company to set up their trading posts on the Western side of the world. The Company chose India 🇮🇳 this, since it boasts a vast variety of textiles and spices. After seeing the amounts of pricing people can put on these things, the Britishers grew greedy. One by one, they annexed huge powers and conquered India as they had done to every other country. An act was imposed by the Britishers, called as the Rowlatt Act, which allowed Britishers to arrest any person under 2 years of trial just by rousing suspicion. In order to stop ✋ this act, Gandhi Ji imposed a peace protest called as the 'Rowlatt Act Satyagraha' on 13th April 1919, on the account of Baisakhi in Punjab in Jallianwala Bagh. At the time Britishers had imposed a ban on holding protests of any kind. On the following account, Reginald Edward Harry Dyer, who was the Lord or the General at the time, ordered his men to block 🚫 the only exit/entrance out of the park (since the park was covered with high, difficult to climb walls) and open fire. The protest ended with sounds of bullets striking through men, women, children alike. Moaning heard from within the walls of the park. What was a beautiful display garden, was now a land with piles of body everywhere. This, my friends was a big part in the history of Indian independence, known as the 'Jallianwala Bagh Kand' or the 'Jallianwala Bagh Massacre'. The Massacre boiled blood under every Indian, it inspired great people such as Bhagat Singh to sacrifice for his country, and Sardar Uddam Singh to assassinate Lord/General Dyer, the mam behind all this. Today is a sad 😔 day for all of us Indians. May all the dead souls Rest In Peace.
Jai Hind!
