S3 Ep 5 :Insecurities

"The reason we struggle with insecurities is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with                   everyone's highlight reels"

Insecurities is a very big topic and I'm sure that almost everyone feels it but I think that teenagers feel it the most. I liked this quote a lot because it is actually revealing a very terrible truth which none of can ignore. We might not how much capable we are. We do not know what we can do ourselves so it's best not to expect that the others (expect our parents) know as better than we know ourselves. I've talked a lot about insecurities, but do we really know what is insecurity. Well insecurities is in Google language or formal definition:

a feeling of lacking confidence and not being sure of your own abilities or of whether people like you.

Well in my experience Insecurity is rather just being ashamed of something we are not much clear about. I won't say that sometimes I don't feel insecure, even I do. But we feel insecure to please people it is obvious. And most of the time insecurities are related to our looks. But I think looks doesn't matter. And most of the time insecurities take the best of our times and we miss the beauty we have in ourselves. Whether you are too fat or too thin or ugly in someone's thinking it doesn't matter. There is a Sanskrit quote which tells us what really matter to the the world:

                                                        गुणाः पूजास्थानं| गुणिषु न च लिन्गं न च वयः|

It means that no matter what people say about your gender, your looks or your age, in the end the whole world only prays the human who is intelligent, confident.
Another important thing from the quote I wrote in English is that we feel insecure about ourselves and look at the other person and think 'God how cool is he/she', but do we know how they feel about themselves? We never ask others how we are and nor they to us, so how can we imagine is someone is really bad mouthing us? The Sanskrit quote says that work on your etiquettes, grasp knowledge use your mind to the fullest. Don't focus on things you are not sure of, if you think you are fat, then exercise, don't cry. Try new hobbies in life and do creative things. In my 6th grade I was really in a deep emotional state as my friends thought of me as weird. I left it all by 7th grade and started this blog. It has also been a year since I've started practising piano. I've started reading tons of books and even learned ASL (American Sign Language (FOR DEAF AND DUMB)) just to try something new. I have never felt this better about my myself and I'm proud to say i'm not insecure about myself.
Later I will Update my piano video and a drawing I made.
